Is Online Cannabis Ordering & Pickup Legal in Union City?
Yes, online cannabis ordering and pickup are legal in Union City, California. Under state law, licensed dispensaries may offer online ordering with in-store or curbside pickup. Union City is in Alameda County, where cannabis retail is permitted for adults 21 and over. As a licensed California dispensary since 2003, we operate under state and local regulations, ensuring every order is compliant and safe.
When you order online from a licensed dispensary, you're protected by state testing and labeling requirements. Products are lab-tested for potency and contaminants, and purchases are tracked through the state's regulatory system. This means you can trust that what you order is exactly what you receive — no shortcuts, no unregulated products.
To ensure your pickup is legal and smooth, follow this checklist:
- Verify the dispensary's license. Look for a state-issued license number on their website or at the store — ours is C10-0000295-LIC.
- Be 21 or older. You must show a valid government-issued ID at pickup; no exceptions.
- Order from a licensed retailer only. Unlicensed shops are illegal and may sell unsafe products.
- Check local rules. Union City allows pickup from licensed dispensaries, but always confirm the dispensary's compliance with county health guidelines.
- Bring your order confirmation. Have your confirmation email or text ready when you arrive.
- Know the purchase limits. California allows up to 28.5 grams of flower and 8 grams of concentrate per day — ask your dispensary for details.

Medical cannabis
Medical cannabis refers to the use of cannabis or its compounds to treat symptoms or conditions, often under a doctor's guidance. While many people report benefits for chronic pain, anxiety, and sleep issues, research is still limited, and evidence is mixed. Common side effects can include dizziness, fatigue, and changes in mood, so it's important to use it carefully and consult a healthcare provider. In California, medical cannabis is legal, and patients can access it through licensed dispensaries. If you're considering medical cannabis, talk to your doctor first, and then visit a reputable dispensary like Garden of Eden (Delivery) to explore options that fit your needs.
